The Motherhood Group Forward Programme was created in response to a reality many mothers know too well.
Too many mothers feel pressure to keep everything going while recovering physically, emotionally and mentally from pregnancy and postpartum.
For some, that means returning to employment before they are ready. For others, it means trying to maintain freelance work, flexible work, creative work, business responsibilities or everyday life while navigating motherhood at the same time.
Many mothers told us: “I felt like I lost myself after becoming a mother.”“I felt like I lost myself after becoming a mother.”
“I needed emotional and practical support during postpartum.”
“I was trying to hold everything together while still recovering.”
“I needed community, accountability and people checking in on me.”
“I wanted support navigating motherhood and my identity.”
As modern motherhood continues to evolve, many mothers are balancing recovery, identity, wellbeing, work, purpose and family responsibilities without enough support around them.
This programme was created to help change that.
The Forward Programme supports mothers during pregnancy and the first year postpartum through emotional wellbeing support, practical support, peer community care and maternal recovery support.
Powered by Mumbrite and delivered by The Motherhood Group, the programme combines emotional wellbeing, community support and practical guidance to help mothers move forward with greater support, stability and confidence.
Our First Cohort!
The first cohort will support 20 mothers through a structured 5-month programme.
The programme has been intentionally designed to remain personal, community-led and impact-focused while building long-term support systems for mothers navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery and modern motherhood.
What the programme includes:
Practical Life & Work Support
Participants will receive practical support delivered by The Motherhood Group team.
Support may include:
Administrative support | Accountability check-ins | Organisation support | Flexible work support | Creative or business support | Transition support
The aim is to help mothers feel supported while navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, identity shifts and the realities of balancing motherhood alongside everyday responsibilities.
Weekly Group Therapy via Mumbrite
Participants will have access to weekly online group therapy sessions facilitated by a psychotherapist through the Mumbrite platform.
These sessions are designed to provide emotional wellbeing support, safe reflection space and maternal mental health support throughout the programme.
Weekly Peer Support Sessions via Mumbrite
Participants will also join weekly peer support sessions through Mumbrite, connecting with other mothers navigating similar experiences.
These sessions are designed to reduce isolation, strengthen community and create honest conversations around motherhood, identity, recovery and wellbeing.
Our Vision
At The Motherhood Group, we believe mothers deserve support systems that reflect the realities of modern motherhood.
We believe motherhood should not mean losing yourself, your wellbeing or your sense of identity.
The Forward Programme is part of a wider vision to create more accessible, community-led support for mothers navigating recovery, transition, wellbeing and work.
