Black Maternal Health Conference 2024

#BMHCUK 2024 - coordinated by The Motherhood Group

Closing the gap

The Motherhood Group proudly presents the 2nd annual Black Maternal Health Conference UK, an interactive event bridging community members, healthcare providers, policymakers and mothers to address systemic racism in maternity care.

Through panels, workshops and open dialogue, we'll spotlight gaps in current systems and provide clarity on the path toward equitable, dignified and culturally competent care. With the timely theme “Achieving Health Equity for Black Mothers”, reputable speakers will share powerful perspectives. Most importantly, Black maternal voices will guide each discussion.

This conference delivers an unmatched opportunity to listen, learn and connect authentically alongside the community to tackle unconscious bias in care, advocate for overdue reforms, and eliminate disparities while honoring Black mothers’ basic human rights to health.
