Alisha is an experienced Solicitor who qualified in 2010 and joined Slater and Gordon’s London medical negligence team as a Senior Associate in 2022. She specialises in representing individuals and families who have suffered life-changing injuries as a result of substandard medical treatment, with particular expertise in spinal cord injury and brain damage claims.

Alisha handles a wide range of complex and high-value medical negligence cases, including adult and child brain injury, delayed cancer diagnosis, amputation, birth injuries, and maternal birth trauma. Her work with children includes cases involving delays in delivery leading to birth hypoxia, as well as substandard neonatal care resulting in neonatal hypoglycaemia.

In addition to her litigation practice, Alisha is a regular expert speaker at patient safety study days attended by leading physicians and healthcare professionals, contributing to education and improved clinical standards.

Alisha is also a member of the APIL Diversity Board and is deeply committed to championing diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and healthcare system. She is passionate about addressing health inequalities and believes strongly in holding organisations accountable for racial and socio-economic disparities, ensuring that all patients receive the same standard of medical care regardless of background.

Nadia is an experienced Solicitor and APIL-accredited Senior Litigator, with over ten years’ specialism in medical negligence claims. She has extensive experience managing complex caseloads and is known for progressing cases efficiently while maintaining a strong client-focused approach.

Nadia is deeply committed to achieving justice for her clients and is motivated by supporting individuals and families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Her practice covers all aspects of medical negligence, including delayed diagnosis and prevention failures resulting in stroke, amputation cases, delayed diagnosis of cancer, brain injuries (including birth injuries), GP negligence, surgical errors and avoidable deaths.

She is recognised in The Legal 500 (2026) as a Key Lawyer, noted for being “active in stroke and amputation-related mandates”.

In addition to her litigation work, Nadia regularly contributes to professional education. She has delivered talks as part of the Rivers Hospital Clinical Education Programme for GPs across Hertfordshire and Essex, and has prepared and presented specialist material for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Congress Meeting.

Nisha Sharma is a Principal Lawyer working across the Brighton and London offices, specialising in all areas of medical negligence, including birth injuries, delays in diagnosis, surgical errors, and fatal claims.

Throughout her career, Nisha has worked on high-profile cases that have influenced change in healthcare practice and regulation, including the widely reported Ian Paterson litigation. She is currently handling a number of claims related to the criminal investigation Operation Bramber into the general surgery and neurosurgery departments at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

Nisha is accredited by the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel and has been consistently recognised in The Legal 500, which highlights her sharp insight into complex legal issues, mastery of law and facts, and ability to achieve excellent results for clients. She is also recognised as an authority in her field by Chambers and Partners (2026).
As a result of her own traumatic birth experience with her daughter, Geeta has become a strong maternal health advocate and campaigner. Geeta regularly shares her expertise on the long-term impact of birth trauma and maternal injuries to give visibility to other women in similar positions.

In February 2024 Geeta shared her experience as an expert in maternity safety in the first national inquiry into birth trauma in the history of UK Parliament. Geeta has a special interest in health equity and in June 2024, she pioneered the inaugural South Asian Maternal Health Conference to address disparities in maternal care.

Doreen is a highly experienced employment lawyer, having specialised in the field for over two decades. She joined Slater and Gordon in 2016 and advises across the full spectrum of employment law, including discrimination and harassment, unfair and wrongful dismissal, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, share options, contract reviews, interim injunctions, and bonus and contractual disputes. She regularly represents clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, High Court, and Court of Appeal.

Doreen acts for senior executives and professionals across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, banking, media, IT, marketing, education, healthcare, and local and central government. She is known as a strategic, pragmatic, and highly technical lawyer who achieves the best outcomes for her clients. As a skilled negotiator, she has successfully resolved complex workplace disputes, achieving high-value and confidential settlements.

She has led high-profile litigation for national unions including RMT, Unite, and CWU, and has been involved in landmark cases that have set precedent in employment law.
